Longest Drive and Top 10 Finish at the Regions Charity Classic, Champions Tour

The Alpha C830.2 Plasma driver finished 2nd and 3rd at 2009 World Long Drive Championships in Mesquite, NV by Alpha team players Jerimie Montgomery and Mick Yelowvich, respectively.

The Alpha C830.2 Driver achieved the longest drive along with a top 10 finish  at the Regions Charity Classic Champions Tour event in Birmingham, AL.  Champions Tour player Steve Thomas out-drove every other Tour player with 385 and 369 yard drives to achieve first and second in driving distance.  The C830.2 Plasma driver also finished 8th, by a Houston, Texas native.

Maximum Spin Axis Forgiveness with Anti-Slice

The Launch drivers are designed for maximum Spin Axis forgiveness (MOI).  The resistance to twisting on off-center hits allows your ball to launch straight and long in the air.  This rigid 2-pc (body shell and face) head incorporates a shallower face and wider body structure.  Using Optimal Spin Control (OSC) technology, the center of gravity is positioned farther back and deeper in the head.  The result is longer and more accurate drives. 

With the RSP Launch, you have the added benefit of an offset design, which helps to square your ball at impact.  This is greatly beneficial for 2 types of swingers.  The first is a player whose swing follows an outside-inside path.  The tangential force applied to the ball during this type of swing can produce a clockwise spin, otherwise known as the slice.  The second is a fast swinger whose downswing acceleration (force) causes a face angle distortion during the swing and before the time of impact.  The RSP Launch will help correct this natural position distortion and make it easier to reach a square face at impact with the ball.  Not just for beginners, the RSP Launch can greatly increase the distance and accuracy of drivers for advanced players as well.
